4-7-2008 - We are pleased to announce the arrival of a beautiful chestnut colt born at 7:45 PM tonight to our new mare, Woodland's Best Dressed! This colt is sired by Meadowbrook's Special Edition and is owned by Tracey Matthews of Hidden Horse Farm in Middletown, CT. Tentatively named "Kabuki" this colt is an absolute sweetheart.

2-20-2008 It is with great pleasure that we announce the newest addition to the Caer Avallach Family! Woodlands Best Dressed (Woodlands Foxy Cloud x Woodlands Amaryllis) has joined our breeding program and is currently in foal to Meadowbrook's Special Edition for a March 21st foal. "Cami" came to us through Tracey Matthews of Hidden Horse Farm in Middletown, CT. Cami is a 2000 bay mare who can best be described as SWEET! She has the perfect temperament and is a fabulous mover.

She has big shoes to fill but we were lucky enough to find a mare that was related to our foundation broodmare, Woodlands Maggie Mae, whom we lost this past September. Cami's foal will be for sale and we are keeping our fingers crossed for a 2009 Whiskey baby with her!

We are so pleased to have found such a lovely mare and thank Jill Kulmann for letting us know that Cami was out there!

1-13-08 Well once again Whiskey has proven himself to be quite the versatile pony. Today he participated in Game Day at Kasson Ridge Farm LLC with Billee Carvil in such events as W/T Command, Red Light/Green Light, W/T Relay Race, Cone Race and the Barrel Race.

Billee and Whiskey won four of the events they entered and had a wonderful time together. This is what we love to see ... ponies that can win in the show ring and still play at the fun stuff!

1-6-2008 We are most excited to announce that the 2008 show season is officially under way and our own Avallach's Irish Whiskey attended his first competition with a junior rider. Claire Hayes will be showing Whiskey this year in Children's Hunters and the pair started out their show season today by attending the Reindeer Schooling Show at Westbrook Hunt Club. It was a great first outing for the pair and we look forward to posting many more events throughout 2008!

1-5-08 Congratulations to Tiffany Bianco of Kensington Ridge Stables on her purchase of Branwen! Being the wonderful mare that she is, she stepped right off the trailer today and settled right in. Tiffany is looking forward to working more with Branwen under saddle in the spring, but for now wiull focus on getting to know her and settling her into a routine. We could not have asked for a better home for this sweet, sweet mare. Stay tuned to our web site as we have the second of these rescue mare, Gracie, who will be available in a few months to another wonderful home. Gracie is a 15.1 h gray Quarter Horse mare.
